spirivus.com began in (somewhere) and kept its size on purpose. Working in small studio the way we wanted to use it ourselves.
Our pace is set by the work, not the calendar. We keep records of what we ship and the bills we pay.
Three things we try to do.
We sketch on paper.
Before any tool starts, the idea exists on a page in pencil. The shape is decided away from the screen.
We work in series.
Pieces leave the bench in twos and threes, never alone. Each one teaches us something for the next.
We sign every piece.
If our name is going on it, we have to be willing to keep one ourselves.
We answer email by hand.
